Newstrike Capital vs. Torex
I realized early on that NES was severely undervalued compared to Torex and sold most of our TXG position at about 3 or 4:1 leverage to NES..
that was assuming NES would have about the same 3 to 4 million ounce resource as TXG. After the initial hits on the breccia I realized NES was indeed something special
I now believe NES will have between 7 and 10 million ounces at Ana Paula and possibly many more at apetlanca
I think TXG will be able to prove up at least 5 million ounces as well but the share structure of TXG, (although fairly well held institutionally) does not lend itself to the same appreciation possibilities as Newstrike..
Giving NES an approximate evaluation per ounce as TXg it should be about $5.20 based on TXG cap today.. assuming double TXG ounces we get pretty close to the 10..75 number talked about last week
potential suitors will be doing a lot of detailed calculations based on drilling to date and coming up with their own in house valuations. all the info is out there using filos and torex metrics an accurate valuation of nes will show it is very much undervalued and we expect massive share appreciation as value is realized.
translation: anyone worth their salt doesnt need a 43-101
During the exploration phase most money is made between the initial discovery and drilling out the orebody.
I think NES will be sold long before the development phase at peak value!
caliche
Hi caliche and once again thanks for this forum. I am posting about OLE under this NES post because I believe it would be easier for you to find it. When you say that Chet missed the boat on the Teranga deal also, what do you mean? Maybe years ago before MDL built the mil they could have done some kind of partnership or merger. As far as I know OLE at that time could not have bought TGZ and vice versa. A merger on the other hand I believe has always been possible. As you know OLE is running short on $ and also on time as I believe they must show at least intent to start production in 2012. I know you do not agree with most of what management has done (as most of also do not), but what do you feel will be the outcome of this company. Raise more cash for now (doubtful in my opinion), sell, merge, etc.. Any guesstimates on price or timeframe as far as any future near term developements. You mentioned last week that you had bought a littlte OLE so I assume you still see some value there. There seems to be alot of support in the low 90 cent range. This lack of info (PR) of any kind for over 2 months from the company is nothing new, but this time I find it very interesting since they have lately been giving monthly updates. I would greatly appreciate any feedback .
Thanks again,
Tony
all i meant was he probably could have got a better price when teranga/mdl needed our ore..since they have mede new discoveries on their own they dont have the need for ole’s gold and thus wont bid a hell of a lot for us..
