Caliche—Would be nice if you would occasionally comment on Oromin…Their share price could increase 30%-40 % in the next few weeks also……Most on this board own some Ole…..You used to also…
we still own oromin. it has done well from its lows and we believe it will to do well. insiders have lined their boots with options and given that fact it will probably make new highs this fall!

I just confirmed w/ IamGold that they still own their original shares taht they Bought. They did get a lot of calls from several analysts yesterday. The IR exec had no comment on, but confirmed thier original 15 % ownership.
WOW—From 4/25 close to 4/27 close , Ole up 38%……And Resource Update due out shortly which should help keep momentum going…….Also Sept is typically one of the best months of the year for price of spot gold to increase which should help….Ole not dead yet…We may still see a bidding war this year…

in the goldseek.com site ( very good site) theres 2 Headline articles talking abt the MDl / Ole situation…… hopefully that’ll spur some more…. this combined MDL/Newco and Ole could be a really good gold company. It could ahve everything… Ole’s gold and all the land …. MDL Gold ande Plant Mine that has already been doubled in size… and the NEWCO Mgmt w/ all the experience from Barrick/Goldfields. They are aggressive, and would market properly… They could have 10 mil oz to start with. Oles 5-6 and theyre 4 mil. Based on industry valueations… and the Plant they have, it could be valued at $2 billion very quickly. Pending how they structure the IPO and # of shares… ( say 100 mil to start) that could make the MDL/NEWCO shares worth $20 ps !… just thinking out loud, but they could offer OLE a $3 b/o and would pay w/ 3.25 of MDL shares, (that would transfer to NewCo shares at the IPO.) for evcery one of Ole. So, if one ended up w/ 30,000 NewCo shares… potentially it could turn into a NewCo sp of say $10 to $20 ps or,,,,,300k to 600k.!!!! With all the potential gold in ground…. and more importantly all the experience and aggrerssiveness ( non Ole) of the NewCO Mgmt… it could happen.
I bet all companies stay quiet this week, (ole, iag, mdl) Mdl wants to keep it quiet, iag doesnt know what to do w/ no CEO,, and Ole is always quiet). So the sp may bump a bit and then calm down. Just hope it doesnt go back down from here….. For the traders out there, could MDL again buy a ton of shares of Ole on the quiet sly, like they just did ??.
And another question for ADmin… will MDl try to get Ole under contract before or after the IPO…. I say they have to have it done before the IPO… w/o OLE, the IPO would be very bland w/ so many questions. and the IPO may even be delayed if they dont egt OLE. All just guessing here…. we are always so in the dark to make very accurate calls. Comments???

New Year Hi at OLe… !!! soemthings going on !!!! todays at $1.30 ca. I heard IAG has entered the interest/bidding. But they want the Whole enchilada…. this could shoot rite past $1.50 in a hurry.

I hear the new Group is very aggressive. Do you think they’ll make a play here soon on OLE.? I heard they are trying to egt every large block of Ole shares they can egt their hands on.Will they try to incorporate into the IPO…. or Consolidate after the IPO. And and how do you think Chet is taking all this. You met him, and know him. You know Gols stock prices quite well… what would the NewCo AND Ole be worth and/or the sp ? ? Please give some comments. the website is getting a lot of new hits with gold climbing and the shares starting to come along.. I think they will start to pull hard in the next two weeks and we will be very happy all around!
OLE is in play for SURE, MDL revealed its hand and the shares have been up in price and volume ever since. The story continues to get very good coverage, the one liners form grandich not withstanding.
I concur with you on them taking out any oromin wherever they can find large enough blocks. I also agree they are aggressive.
my brain hurts also thinking about all the different permutations of the deal. The arabs are a big unknown so i will not comment on them. The MDL ipo will be watched with great interest and i believe the pricing will be quite high, i have heard 6 to 7 dollars. the money is out there right now and i dont think ther is a better time to do a deal..
i have always said the oromin property is 10 million ounces. MDL is constrained by their boundaries and running out of gold. the almost doubling of the mill will only add 30,000 ounces /yr they need a new source of ore. oromin needs a mill .. the synergies are there and anyone with enough time can re compute the oromin feasability using mdl’s cost numbers and im sure get a pretty attractive IRR and NAV
im sure this has been done by someone and that is the reason for all the action of late..
i said it before i think oromin will make NEW highs not yearly ones and be taken out before next summer.
the drilling update should give us a big boost to the $2 range and speculation of a takeout much higher than that
we have all been waiting for someone to blink and MDL did .. here we go!

Thanks Caliche ! Great insights and comments. With all the time here… the potential outcomes are actually quite intrigueing…… Yes MDL has blinked, and i dont know what other prospects they have w/o Ole. They may just pay the Price necessary to make everyone happy.

valuations are going through the roof both for ounces in the ground and for shares on the market..
i would have never guessed ATC would be a 6 dollar stock ..
as long as gold continues to be strong (and we think it will) valuations will continue to surprise..
ole has damn near 10 million ounces property wide and i believe even with dilution we will still see new highs..
Goldcorp just took Andean Resourcesfor $3.4B.. Andean has 2.5M oz of gold & 24M oz silver….
Now, I don’t know if this is exactl kosher, but on a strick $$$ evaluation… silver is at $20\oz…approx 1\60th of gold I’ll give the 24M oz of silver an equiv value of 400k oz of gold…thus to value it out, Andean is equiv to 3.0M oz of gold.
and they were bought at THREE BILLION DOLLARS +++
