Grandich comments on Oromin
short and sweet from peter
Oromin Explorations – No new news but has held up quite well in the sell-off. I wait just like others for news from management.

ha ha, having a bit of fun at our own expense, we pay grandich and get no comments and here barry sergeant not getting paid to comment on oromin comments, albeit breif and a little old, but I think it may have slipped past oromin followers:
“there is Australia-listed Mineral Deposits… is a potential consolidation play with neighbouring Oromin”

Yes , I did see that mid-March article on Barrick which mentioned the potential consolidation play…..It came out before Grandich was hired (again)…..I don’t believe one can count Barrick totally out as a potential suitor……Ole has lots of gold….Barrick has lots of money and is intelligent (and ruthless)…Tough combination if they do really consider the consolidation play….
Maya, about a week ago in a previos post under the Oromin insider buying you metioned what you thought Oromin was going to do price wise going into the FS. You also mentioned a 16% premium on a buy-out. What numbers are you using to come up with this figure? I do not understand. A premium to what number. As always, thanks for your informative posts.
Tony
Maya, thanks for your response.

Well here it is, june first. The FS is due in 29 days to the Senegal Govt. And out to the public by earlt July. It’s been an awful long time in the waiting.
Would love to see Grandich start earning his monthly 2k for Promotion.
Surely he’s now writing and planning all his PR’s, data, Gold newwsletter info, and all the other stuff he gets to the Gold publications.( god i hope so ) And I think they’ll have over 4.5 mil oz in gold and ready to tell the world in close to 30 days.
If so… its a steal at 75 cents now. Just wonder when it’ll start the anticipated SP climb ??? Before or after the FS announcement ? any guesses.
Awfully quiet here .
Any bets on a FS Delay? As their next PR? Gotta admit… it’s Ole’s patterned style. If the FS doesnt spike the Sp…. i say they try the Oil trick again. Find Dr Haimila, pay him a bunch to say he thinks he can find it this time. Had the wrong maps last time. Got a new GPS from radio shack.
For what its worth spoke to David Scott. he highlights were,
– PF should be announced in July, not June
– Expects ozs to increase but not to levels some are throwing around here
– Financing in late summer can’t be avoided
– Thinks $1.50 share price will be fair value for OLE with PF out. So the $2, $3, $5+ projections are probably not likely if the company’s own promoter is only calling for $1.50. Tha is a pretty safe double from here but for shares purchased above that price…..
May explain all the selling the last year.
i got a feeling FS will come early, they are much better at PR nowadays, note todays news release:

A safe double from here? Who has been talking $3-$5. Very misinformed if those thoughts are spinning in your head. Stock is .75, anything above $1.25 with dilution coming would be a gift.

For clarification: (June 1 NR) “With the exception of some results from Kourouloulou, none of these favourable results are incorporated in the production schedule proposed in OJVG’s forthcoming Feasibility Study and as a result they will not be included in the Feasibility Study’s economic and cash flow analyses.”
It said that none of the new discoveries will be considered for the “…Feasibility Study’s economic and cash flow analyses.” They have said that a new resource calc will be released at the same time as the FS. The results from the new discoveries will be included in that.
From April NR: “Additionally, initial resource drilling is underway at Kobokoto and Koulouqwinde, whose initial resources will also be reported in early July along with resource updates based on current drilling at Maki Medina and Niakafiri Southeast.”

DS actually stated what he thought was an appropriate share price???
IMO, that would be a first for a PR guy…that IS stepping into trencherous territory.
Most PR guys won’t even touch sp discussions…typically just state they have no control over it or feel the market’s are being unfair…
All in all, that is way off his normal base and way outside of his purview.
As a second note, Grandich himself has stated in past reviews/articles that OLE should be trading at $3 – $5… so we have a dichotomy here.
If $1.50 is all, then I am behind pushing the company to hold and continue toward production. $1.50 per share on;y equates to approx. a $365M to $385M property price… WAY TOO LOW.
I’ll try later, but if anyone else has time to call & see if DS will state to them a sp value, they should….

From Ole’s PR on the FS Report: 1/19/2010
Note they say all these models and deposits will be INCLUDED in the basis for the Production schedule of the FS…..
this saying about the 5-7 deposits that suddenly they WONT be using !!!
This is a sham and an outrage. They have the info. But are with holding it. Or simply stopped the research. They do mention another resource report that will be released Concurrent w/ the FS. That part is confusing. But they’ll bury that too, in order to give instant profits w/ the PP late summer.
Anyone else here have any comments? ( all imo)
___________
ole PR 1/19/10
….”Resource models for Masato, Golouma South, and Kerekounda deposits will have been updated with recent drill results by month end. The resource models for Golouma West and Kourouloulou deposits will be updated in February following receipt this month of the outstanding assay results from 2009 drilling. These five deposits will form the basis for the production schedule and project economics to be outlined in the feasibility study. ”
……”Three additional drills are being mobilised for OJVG’s ongoing resource delineation program. In addition to the five deposits referred to above that will form the basis for the feasibility production schedule, the study will also report resources for two other deposits; Maki Medina and Niakafiri and, time permitting, the Kobokoto and Koulouquinde prospects. Also, OJVG is working towards reporting resources for an additional two new discoveries, Golouma Northwest and Kotouniokolla, after completion of the feasibility study. ”

Calm down guys. The only results that will not be included in the FS are the ones after Jan 2010. We basically knew this already.
Exploration drilling undertaken since the completion of all requisite Feasibility Study geotechnical and hydrological drilling in early 2010 continues to generate excellent results at many of the OJVG deposits and targets. With the exception of some results from Kourouloulou, none of these favourable results are incorporated in the production schedule proposed in OJVG’s forthcoming Feasibility Study and as a result they will not be included in the Feasibility Study’s economic and cash flow analyses.
All other results before Jan 2010 will be included in the FS.

Well, we all kind of expected the report to be what it was going to be! NO SURPRISES HERE! I am still looking to the end of the third, beginning of fourth quarter for the real news to come out on Oromin. I think what has happened here is that EMOTIONS and dreams are being crushed for the moment as many have spent the money already and soon is not soon enough!!
Be patient, this is a good $10.00 stock in the short/medium timeframe!
Just my opinion!
FYI….I guess it looks like they have walked away from the Oil Play???
Oh my lord…………DW, did you actually post $10 per share or was that your sister’s boyfriend’s little brother posting in your name? Absolutely zero chance, beyond nil that the share price sees half of that value……..lifetime.

Yes, I did
I am still firm on this Company, yes things are a bit strange – But the facts are the facts! Gold will be very good numbers in the end!
Just don’t spend it before it is in your hand so you can maintain the mind
