Gold Surge to 3 month High
Gold is moving up very nicely and will continue to do so. The majors and several of the juniors are beginning to pick up steam. I have noticed massive inflows of institutional money form New York and over seas start to pour into the Venture exchange and the Junior mining stocks. Liquidity is up and so are share prices. hang on to your hats everyone i predict a massive gold bubble in the next 2 to 4 years. I can smell my retirement as i write!
I believe Gold and the gold markets will achieve a critical mass soon and although will be brought down by a market correction (if it happens) it will NOT last long and money will continue to flow form the wider markets into Gold in all its forms, bullion paper gold gold shares and juniors. I firmly believe we will see returns that will make the tech bubble seem like a opening act!
Caliche, what do you take into consideration when investing in Venture Exchange stocks? I can tell management is one, along with property potential in relation to what neighboring companies have accomplished. Are you more of a speculative stock investor, or a hybrid with actual gold producers coupled with spec stocks? I am trying to get an understanding of how one can make money gambling aka investing in spec stocks who are not at the production level. I guess you probably have a method of valuation in determining what a company is worth based on X amount of ounces in the ground. Do you have a success rate?
hi cs
well its more of an art than a science for sure. I have been investing since 1987, seems like a long time till you meet my friend that has been trading since 1964! I will first and always look at the chart, if it has already moved up i will move on. Second is shares outstanding i dont like to take an opening position with more than 50 million out .. it used to be less than 20 but inflation has hit the markets too! From there i scan management to see if i recognize anyone. Insider holdings are very important, I once held a position with more shares than management combined, wont do that again. i generally only buy exploration plays, more excitement and faster payouts. as for success .. it comes and goes..lol. I was down over 85% begining 2009, most of that was oromin. It made up about 75% of my portfolio by value in 2006 to 2008. Since then i diversified away from oromin and am up about 500% and growing every day. With juniors you really only need to be right once and have the guts to hold on. I had it made with OLE $4 but got greedy. With 70 years experience between me and my trading friend we still slip up sometimes.
my advice as always only bet what you can afford to lose.
i do my best to point readers here in the right direction, i hope it helps. The pennies are certainly an interesting field to invest err bet on ..LOL
