Sabodala Interest High at Indaba

Overall attendance at Indaba was down, but there was no shortage of interest in African Mining projects. The conference was well attended by mining insiders and those interested in acquiring interests in African mining ventures. The Oromin booth at Indaba was one of the busiest at the show! It was visited by a large number of institutional investors who are very familiar with the Sabodala Project. David Scott and the project geologist from the property attended the conference and were able to generate significant interest from the larger delegates. MDL was also at the conference and also generated considerable interest since they are nearing the first gold pour from the Sabodala Project a few weeks from now. The economic downturn in global equities has set back many projects that were unable to obtain adequate funding before the collapse.  Oromin has been able to keep the project going full steam ahead with 6 drills turning on the property picking up where the program left off before the Christmas break. The updated resource calculation is being completed by SRK and is expected very soon. The resource modeling has been updated for the 3 deposits reported on in the initial calculation (Masato, Golouma West and South). New modeling has been created for the 3 additional deposits (Maki Medina, Kerekounda and Niakafiri). Grades and intercepts have increased since the last update and with new modeling of the deposits I expect a sizable increase in ounces to be released in the update. I also anticipate the high-grade intersections at Kerekounda to continue to grow this exciting new discovery to a truly world class deposit.

Next up for Oromin is the PDAC running from March 1st to the 4th.
